Angelina Jolie Tattoos

Angelina Jolie was born on June fourth in nineteen seventy five.  She was born to Marcheline Bertrand and Jon Voight and was born named Angelina Jolie Voight.  She is an academy award winner and has won three Golden Globes as well.  She has also received two Screen Actors Guild awards.  She once made her living as a fashion model before she started acting.  She is a well known humanitarian and philanthropist and she supports her causes all over the world.  She is now married to Brad Pitt and they have adopted two children together.  She is now established as one of the best known, highest paid actresses in Hollywood.  Angelina Jolie’s tattoos are usually covered in her movie rolls, so you do not get to see them.  However, when making the film Tomb Raider, several sources claim that the makeup that was used to cover her tattoos was not doing a good enough job so a digital artist was then hired to touch them up frame by frame.

Angelina Jolie says that all of her tattoos have a special meaning behind them.  These tattoos are not done for purely cosmetic reasons.  In the following text, we will go over the tattoos that this popular actress sports on her body.  Of course, one of the most talked about tattoos is the one on her left arm that says ‘Billy Bob’, and this is the name of her ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton.  Also, on her left arm are the coordinates of where she adopted Maddox and Zahara.  A dragon tattoo also graces her left arm, but she is working to get it lasered off.  This tattoo is slowly becoming lighter.  She received another dragon tattoo in Amsterdam as well.

On her left hip you will see a large black cross.  She also adorns the Latin quote “Quod me nutrit me destruit”.  Between her shoulder blades she has a tattoo that reads “Know Your Rights”.  On her left shoulder is a Buddhist Pali incantation that is written in Khmer script.  On her left wrist is the letter H.  Another phrase about her body is the Arabic phrase “Strength of will”.  There is a twelve-inch Bengal tiger that sets on her lower back region.  Under this tiger tattoo, there is another dragon.  Also in her lower back region is a window.  In the lower parts of her back, you will also find two pointy black tribal tattoos.  On her left forearm is the Roman numeral thirteen (XIII).  There is another quote, “A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages”, on her left forearm.  Last, but not least, on her left shoulder there is a tattoo with the Chinese character that stands for death.
